    The main difference between XML and Sitemap:
    XML sitemap is written for search engine crawlers and HTML sitemap is written for users.

    In terms of Purpose:
    1. HTML Sitemaps - are for visitors of your website, for them to easily navigate through your website.
    2. XML Sitemaps - are for search engine crawlers for the same purpose, that is to easily navigate and gather date through your website.

    In terms of code structure:
    1. HTML Sitemaps - utilizes Hypertext Markup Language as the code structure.
    2. XML Sitemaps - utilizes The extensible markup language as the code structure.

    The uses of both sitemaps are different:
    XML sitemap is used for indexing the web pages of a website on Search Engine Result Pages
    HTML sitemap is used for making the website more user friendly

    HTML sitemaps are used in Website for Easy Navigation, HTML sitemaps using for the users to easily understand the website structure.
    XML sitemaps are used for the Search Engine Crawlers to go through each and every link for fast indexing.
