how to add product images like amazon.com?

For example: I want to display my product’s image in 3 different sizes in quick view, shopping cart, frontend store and magnified part (something like amazom.com). For this purpose, should I add four different images in different sizes or can I add just one image in large size and make other 3 sizes by customizing magento source code?

Hey, i think that if you want to upload your image for a product on the admin panel of magento you can add three images, which would be scaled by standard magento functionality for different situations.

Find the product you want to upload an image for: For new products: Under Catalog, click Add Products.
Click the Images tab.
Under Main, click Choose File. If you have secondary images, upload them using the boxes below the Main Image.
