Out of stock update- Notify customers

Hi.

I feel like some of my customers are being missed when they try for products that are not available in stock. Is there any option to notify the customers once the stock is updated? Can I get any extensions related to it?

I would recommend to use Out of Stock Notification extension by FmeAddons in order to notify the customers once the stock is available. Using this extension, you can allow the customers to subscribe to the out of stock products. Once the stock is available, this extension sends an auto notification to the subscribed customers.

I guess a pre order option is a good solution in your case. It will help you to see which products are in demand. Moreover, customers will be notified once the products they've pre ordered are in stock.
