I observed site having high bounce rate for social media traffic. If bounce rate is a ranking factor, will this social media traffic bounce rate cause my rankings to drop?

you should improve bounce rate to improve sale. decrease bounce rate to increase sale of website.

If your website has higher bounce rate, then it indicates that your website is not much relevant to users query and users are not finding solution for their queries. In this case, users simply visit home page and close website immediately and don't visit other pages. Higher bounce rate of website also affects ranking of your website in search engines.

Actually ranking is not given on the basis of bounce rate by the search engine(Google). Bounce rated is counted when visitor visits the webpage and and did not click on any internal link. thus, it does not matter social media have plenty of bounce rate.
