ETags are a way for browsers to validate cached components across subsequent visits. They can slow down a site served from a cluster if the cluster hasn’t implemented them properly.

You've shared great insights into Magento performance optimization. I would also add 1 more important point - cache

    Here is some research:

And an extension: Full Page Cache

Thanks for sharing. It's always important to remember about the client side solutions. For example, I recently discovered lazy loading for myself. Very helpful, especially if your visitors have bad connection.

ETags square measure the simplest way for browsers to validate cached elements across ensuant visits. they will bog down a website served from a cluster if the cluster hasn’t enforced them properly.

Thank you for your sharing . To speed up your Magento site you can do some following things:
    - Reduce loading time: You can try an Magento Defer JavaScript to make loading time decrease. This extension helps your Magento store to perform faster and more efficient by deferring parsing of JavaScript. As a result, customers do not have to wait so long for loading pages and of course, your Magento store will reduce bounce rates as well as keep customers stay in your store longer
    Check it out: https://www.magentocommerce.com/mage...avascript.html
    - Process images faster: To make images load faster, you should try Magento Lazy Image Loader to process image loading only when scrolling down on the Magento site. This extension allows images to be loaded only when scrolling down to optimize loading time and reduce abandoned rates from the site

To reduce loading time and speed up Magento 2 sites, deferring parsing of JavaScript is one of the most effective methods without code changes. By delaying JavaScript loading till the last moment after all HTML and CSS loading, the content of page will appear faster and customers can enjoy better experience on these sites.

    Hello there,

Optimizing your Magento ecommerce website and using the right configuration for hosting, databases etc. will definitely bridge the gap and help you see greater website visitor retention. Here are a few pointers that will help you optimize Magento for speed:

    (1) Content Delivery Network (CDN) is recommended
    (2) Image optimization and labeling
    (3) Upgrade Magento
    (4) Database configuration

Web hosting selection is important : Do invest in a dedicated web hosting package. If you are expecting a decent amount if visitors and conversions on a daily basis, it’s important that you select a dedicated web hosting service which enables you to have your own machine to serve web pages rather than sharing resources across other websites.

    Good luck!

You can try Infinite Scroll for Magento 2.
The module combines two methods of loading the next page of products list: automatically with Ajax and manually by Load More button, accompanying with Back to Top button and lazy loading image. Hence it will absolutely prolong your customers's scrolling experience and boost the speed of your Magento site as well.
    Give it a try!
