Order Confirmation Email Status

on magento admin area under the order view, its shows if an order confirmation has been sent or not, is there anyway we can get that status via an independent php script if we have the order id ?

admin > system > transactional Email > To set up a New Order And New order Guest

Now ready to setup a conformation mail copy

System > configuration > Sales > sales Emails > Click On orders > To set Enable >

Here you can find a "send order Email copy" input box, Enter your Email id

Then set Email Method finally click to save button

thanks but, i'm not trying to set a template or get the confirmation email to go. i'm trying to figure out how to check if the email has been sent or not for a given order programmatically.

Order in processing - This status means that the order is currently being prepared, so that it can be shipped. Order delivered - An order can be marked as Delivered (received) upon confirmation from the shipping service that the order has been delivered and received by the customer.
