learning magento - need help....

I have a new website in magento at 185.56.85.141 that has not been launched yet.

I have a lot of things that need to happen before the url becomes public.

Could use some help in a series of questions I encounter starting with

How can I change the image sizes if they do not fill up the selection.

I am hosted at siteground and the web is a ftp download and to reach my site I need to ftp download and upload.

So if I want to replace an image on the siteground site - what do I do to make it resize?

Did you install magento and login to magento back end? When you upload an image it will show up the image size.

The image size is displayed and control by magento theme.
