Subscription AND Product checkout?

Hey everyone, I am very new to this forum and this is also my first Magento site. I have a website that is a subscription website similar to TrunkClub.com. A user will be buying a Subscription from our website. However I want to know how customers can add a Subscription AND a regular product into the shopping cart and checkout at the same time. Anyone know what plugins I will need or how this is done?
