    Tips,

    1. Design in shades of gray, then add color
    2. Use Keynote (Mac) to create rapid page prototypes
    3. Add web fonts to your corporate style guide
    4. Bury those social media icons
    5. Ditch the slideshow/carousel

    For any template designing you must have strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.It's the first step later on you can use any Framework.
