120% increase in conversion rate? Find How?
I came across this real time stats that Amazon has improved their conversion by 169% using One step Checkout. It is known that on any ecommerce stores, there are 90% of chances available for shopping cart abandonment. So in this case, reducing the number of steps in your checkout process will tend to increase your conversion rate on your ecommerce store. When talking about shopping cart abandonment, I would suggest to pay enough attention to follow up emails.
According to SaleCycle, a remarketing company, 35% of clicks from abandonment emails lead to a purchase back on site.
There's a great Magento cart abandonment extension to follow up customers with fully automated emails by aheadWorks. If you merge it with Market Segmentation Suite and Advanced Newsletter, you have a powerful tool for conversion increase in your hands.

Thank Kristen,
Reducing shopping cart abandonment is really a good way to improve the conversion for online store, but I find the title may seem to be misleading. What's about the stores with limited conversions or optimized checkout process? When reading the title, I thought there would be some useful suggestions related to marketing methods, growth hacking tips or some kind like these: http://bit.ly/1Bpfm77.
Hope this help.

All of these suggestions. I would recommend testing everything out. Learn more about A/B testing and then start to actually make changes to your ordering form and the whole checkout process.
Maybe start with removing a couple field, instead of optimizing everything into one page.
I've seen businesses, which didn't benefit from one step checkout, I've seen the ones that even made it a bit worse for themselves. Be cautious.
