How to set delivery date for orders in Magento 2?

In Magento 2 default, checkout steps only includes two sections: Shipping and Review & Payment, which is much more simple than 6 steps in Magento 1. However, like Magento 1 default, Shipping section just provides customers options for shipping method with fees and shipping address and cannot support for choosing customized dates and times for customers to receive orders.

Therefore, we still need a Magento 2 extension called Order Delivery Date for Magento 2 to add these options into Shipping section for the purposes of better delivery process and also better shopping experience for customers when they can choose their own time to receive orders.

• Add delivery date , time slot options and delivery arrival comments into Shipping Address or Shipping Method for customers to select the most suitable ones
  + delivery date is displayed in a calendar view to pick up available days for shipping
  + time slots: the time period customers can receive orders
  + delivery arrival comment: customers leave any notification about orders

• Allow admin set up times to process an order (processing time), time when orders are made after that will be counted on the next day (cut-off time) and holidays/exclude days or blackout days.
• Display Delivery Date as an extra information to manage in Tabs of Order, Invoice, Shipment and Credit Memos
• Add Delivery Date, Delivery time slots and shipment arrival comments as template variables to creat emails

Therefore, Order Delivery Date for Magento 2 is an ideal choice for all Magento store owners to optimize shipping process and also enable customers to be more active in receiving orders
