Has anyone tried migrating to Magento 2 from 1? I am thinking of migrating to Magento 2, but the issue is I am not sure if there will any problems or how to migrate the store and what things should I be careful about. Since Magento 1 support will end next year, I think I should start thinking about the migration to Magento 2 or to someother platform.
It is vital that store owners should start planning the migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2 as soon as possible. There is no direct method of migration from Magento 1 to Magento 2. However, Magento has developed Code Migration Toolkit to migrate custom codes and Magento 2 Data Migration Tool to migrate critical store data like products, categories, orders, store configurations & settings, etc.
