The main aspect of SEO is divided into two classes:

    1. On-Site Optimization: The technique which is used to make changes on the page for the purpose of increasing ranking of that page is called 'On-site optimization'. On-Site Optimization includes Meta tags (Meta title, meta description, meta keywords), image optimization, URL analysis etc.

    2. Off-Site Optimization: Off-site SEO refers to a text and inbound linking from other website pages to your website pages. Off-site optimization includes content marketing (Article, Blog, PR submission), forum posting, guest blogging etc.

When you begin trying to rank on Google, you run into SEO and a bunch of buzzwords: keywords, link building, content marketing, user experience, etc. What do all of these terms mean and what should you be focusing on for SEO?

A full SEO campaign requires many different aspects to be successful, so it is hard to say that one thing is more important than another. But don’t worry, I won’t cop out. I will tell you what the most important aspect of SEO is.

    Keywords

As we’ve said many times in our blogs, all SEO campaigns need to start with keyword research. Looking into what people are actually searching for within your area is vital to ensuring that Google and other search engines understand what your website is about. To demonstrate this importance, let’s pretend you are a pharmacy. You decide to name your business “Matt’s Drug Store” and in all of the text on your site, you refer to your business as a drug store. If you had done the most basic level of keyword research, you would have noticed that the word “pharmacy” is used significantly more in searches.

There are so many SEO tasks demanding your attention. How do you prioritize them?
Seems to be a common issue, as when we asked for questions a while back, we received this one:
"What aspect of SEO should you be spending most of your time on? Optimizing the title tag, getting links, creating quality content? "
So which area of SEO will give you the most bang for your buck? Link building? On-page? Social media? Ask ten different SEOs, and you'll likely get ten different answers.
Let's take a step back and start with strategy.
