Default Does Page Rank still matter?

In a recent post from SE Roundtable, I found this under "Google: We Still Use PageRank Internally".

Google's John Mueller said that even in 2020 Google does "use PageRank internally." He added that it is one of among many other signals Google uses. But Google does not use domain authority, a metric from Moz, he had to say again.

John also added that it is different from the original PageRank Google used in the 90s. He said "It's not quite the same as the original paper, there are lots of quirks (eg, disavowed links, ignored links, etc.), and, again, we use a lot of other signals that can be much stronger."

This made me think - should we consider PR or DA? What's your opinion?

yes, it does. But unfortunately, we can't see the latest PR of any website as google stop updating it years ago.

Page rank is important because it's one of the factors a search engine like Google takes into account when it decides which results to show at the top of its search engine listings

PR is limited to measuring the influence of links, while DA includes a wider range of metrics. DA updates several times each month, while PR does not. PR is measured on a scale of 0 to 10, while DA is measured on a scale of 0 to 100, making DA more accurate for similar sites.
