As a store owner, you always want a CMS that work like PRO to fulfill all your business and customization needs, and Magento never failed in this case. Cause depending on business type, its audience, and its purpose; demands may whether it is related to the frontend user interface or backend configurations. To store such data and retrieve that information respectively, we need to use the database as backend.

Recently, one of our Magento 2 store holders wanted to save user location based on their last logged geographical area. To do the same, we need to add one column field in the admin_user database table where we can save the user’s IP address. And to add a new column with the name first we need to create a db_schema.xml file in our extension’s etc folder. But it will only work for the latest Magento version 2.3 or later.
