    Hi friends,
A cross-link is a bond that links one polymer chain to another. They can be covalent bonds or ionic bonds. "Polymer chains" can refer to synthetic polymers or natural polymers (such as proteins). When the term "cross-linking" is used in the synthetic polymer science field, it usually refers to the use of cross-links to promote a difference in the polymers' physical properties. When "crosslinking" is used in the biological field, it refers to the use of a probe to link proteins together to check for protein–protein interactions, as well as other creative cross-linking methodologies.

Cross-linking is used in both synthetic polymer chemistry and in the biological sciences. Although the term is used to refer to the "linking of polymer chains" for both sciences, the extent of crosslinking and specificities of the crosslinking agents vary. Of course, with all science, there are overlaps, and the following delineations are a starting point to understanding the subtleties.

When cross links are added to long rubber molecules, the flexibility decreases, the hardness increases and the melting point increases as well.

Cross linking refers to the process of linking between two sites. Whether or not they are owned by the same person, cross linking is the process on which the internet is built. It allows users to reference sites with content similar to that which they are already viewing, and may be of further interest to them.

Cross-Linking- a strategy that can come in handy to get high search engine rankings, by leveraging multiple domains owned by you.

Cross-linking is the process of linking one site to another site.
It provides users with reference sites that contain the content related to the search.
The 2 websites cross-linking do not be owned by the same person.
In other words, cross-linking is a barter wherein I link to you, and you link to me.
It could be a 2-way link or 3-way link. In a 2-way link site A links to site B and site B links to site A. In a 3-way link, site A links to site B, site B links to site C and site C links to site A.

Cross-linking refers to the procedure of linking among two sites. Whether or not they are owned by a similar being, cross-linking is the procedure on which the internet is built. It allows users to suggest sites with content similar to that which they are previously viewing and may be of additional interest to them.
