    Hi Friends,
    Google has indicated site speed (and as a result, page speed) is one of the signals used by its algorithm to rank pages. Page speed is also important to user experience. Pages with a longer load time tend to have higher bounce rates and lower average time on page.

    Page speed is important to users because, well, faster pages are more efficient. Per a recent Kissmetrics infographic, if a page takes longer than 3 seconds to load, over a quarter of users will click away.

    Page speed is defined as the length of time it takes to display all the content on a specific page or the length of time it takes for a browser to receive a web server’s first byte. Though similar, page speed is not the same as site speed. Site speed is the average of several sample pages on a website.
