    To calculate keyword density in its simplest form, you divide the number of times that you have used a specific keyword by the total number of words in the text that you are analyzing and multiply the result by one hundred to achieve your percentage.

    Many SEO experts consider the optimum keyword density to be 1 to 3 percent; more could be considered search spam.

    Keyword density is the percentage of the number of times a keyword appears on a page divided by the total number of words in that page. So if in an article of 100 words you are using your keyword 10 times, your density will be 10%. Many people use different formulas to calculate keyword density

    A basic formula for calculating keyword density is: KD = (kw/tw)* 100.
    Where kw is the number of keywords on the webpage, and tw is the total number of words on the web page.
