Just google it there are a million articles o the web about this, the best is from wpudev.
Optimise images ( with tiny png or wpsmush )
Browser caching ( with wp fastest cache) Always look to see if your cache allows your css and javascript files to still work properly.
This plugin will also compress you js files and css files if you choose.
    Use LESS plugins
    Reduce number of http requests
and get a good host. with a good time to first bite.

Hi there as mention above you can do this Minimize HTTP requests.
    Minify and combine files.
Use asynchronous loading for CSS and JavaScript files.
    Defer JavaScript loading.
    Minimize time to first byte.
    Reduce server response time.
Choose the right hosting option for your needs.
    Run a compression audit.

I would suggest going to gt metric as a place to start as they give you the current status of all these variables on you website for free. If your website was designed on WordPress i would strongly recommend w3 cache or wp fastest cache this will go a long way in speeding up things.

Reduce image size by optimization, code optimization, remove unwanted plugins, Most important is a server-side issue, you have to buy good hosting for your website.
