The Google Sandbox is an alleged filter placed on new websites. As a result, the website will not receive positive rankings for the most important keywords. Even the site is invested with rich content, receives the strong backlinks and gets high pagerank, it is still adversely affected by Google sandbox. The Sandbox acts as a de facto probation for sites, possibly to discourage spam sites from rising quickly, getting banned, and repeating the process.

The Google sandbox or “sandbox effect” is a filter that Google applies to new websites that want to rank in the search results for specific phrases. The filter exists to prevent SEOs and spammers from easily manipulating search results by satisfying all of Google’s major offsite and onsite factors.

The Google Sandbox is much related to a new website being placed on probation, and kept lower than expected in searches, prior to being given full value for its incoming links and content. The Sandbox acts as defect experimentation for sites, possibly to put off spam sites from rising quickly, getting banned, and repeating the process.

The concept of sandbox is about reducing the page rank of newly created domains temporarily. This strategy is done by
Google so that the wrong optimizing methods applied by the SEOs (to outsmart Google’s page rank) don’t succeed. The SEOs try to get many inbound links for a website from the ones they own already.

The Google Sandbox is a filtered place on new websites. The effect is that a site does not receive good rankings for its most important keywords and keyword phrases.
