    This is a very important term in SEO to check whether you getting sales or signup or visitors visit site or not. Signin to Google analytics account and go to Goal section and add new goal.

    Goal means aim. In Google analytics is also same, goal is to be different, you can set your own goal in analytics,,
    suppose you have a web designing website and you want to set an goal, so you can set the goal steps

    1. User come to your website
    2. visit PHP web designing page
    3. .NETDuke
    4. SEO
    5. Converted
    here the above steps mentioned by you in the goal and the user perform the same task as you set the goal and converted is called Goal. The process is same for the funnel.
