Magento 2.0 has a potential to improve the live store performance in a number of ways and highly-improved admin interface that allow non-technical users to accomplish the task without relying on the professional developers.

Here we have gathered some good reasons that tell you why you need to move to Magento 2.

    1. Boost Store Performance: According to the research, Magento 2 will run the store 20% faster than the old version of Magento. The faster website speed increases the search engine optimization and thus helps in increasing conversion rate optimization.

    2. Checkout Process is more User-Friendly: Magento 2 has an intuitive checkout process. It makes the specific process easier and faster for clients to go from cart to complete the order hassle-free. The particular platform requires fewer steps to complete the process, plus it’s highly customizable.

The long awaited Magento 2.0 has been released few days ago. There is a vast difference in file structure of Magento 2.x and Magento 1.x, so it’s not possible to upgrade to the 2.0 version like we used to in 1.x version. Though the awesome Magento Community has developed such tools which can help you migrate data of your Magento store from 1.x to 2.x versions. You can’t upgrade the Magento theme to 2.0 but you can at least perform data migration.

Here I will show the how to Migrate data from Magento 1.x to Magento 2.x using a migration tool.

Here are some tools I came to know for Magento 2.x Migration:

    data-migration-tool-ce by Magento Team
    magento2_data_migration by UberTheme
Here we are going to guide you to migrate to Magento 2 using UberTheme Migration tool:

    Download the tool from https://github.com/ubertheme/magento...ation/releases
Extract in the root of your server by making any folder.
We suppose you have already installed Magento 2.
Create these folders, folders shall have write permissions.

The level of effort to migrate from Magento 1x to Magento 2x depends upon how you have built your site and its level of customization. On Magento 2x uses new approaches and technologies that give merchants an unmatched ability to create innovative shopping experiences and scale to new levels.

Extensions: The Magento development community team is working actively to bring the widely used extensions on Magento Connect till Magento 2 becomes available to all the people.

Themes & Customization : With the help of Magento 2’s new approaches and technologies, developers can change the themes and customizations and provide opportunity to merchants to create an amazing and innovative shopping experience.

    Hi there!

Good question as currently lots of store owners are full of hesitations whether the Magento upgrade is worth all that efforts.

However, I would single out 3 the most outstanding features of Magento 2.x and uncover the demanding "whys":

    1. Full page caching that accelerate page load speed by up to 50%.
    2. Modernized admin panel that is much easier in use for managing day-t-day administration activities.
    3. Streamlined checkout process that increases conversion rates by reducing the rate of platform abandonment.

I`m sure that Magneto has lots yet to be offered but, to my opinion, even these 3 features seem to make sense to migrate to Magento 2.

The next step is choosing a right tool for switching that may be really tough. After months of surfing the Internet, I found one tool like Cart2Cart that perform Magento 1.x to 2.x switch and has lots of positive reviews over the internet. Some of them are presented at their official site as well.

Also, it offers a free demo of Magento 1.x to 2.x that is a good opportunity to check the service first before starting the full switch.

    Hope, it was useful!

Magento has stopped supporting Magento 1 from June 1, 2020. But the debate on whether the sellers should migrate from Magento 1 to Magento 2 version is still hot. The announcement that Magento is stopping all support for Magento 1 version doesn’t mean your store will stop working. No. It simply means that the company won’t release any more security and feature updates for your store.

And, that’s something to worry about as it can put you at high risk! Here are two major issues that you will face:

Security Threats: As Magento is no longer supporting Magento 1 stores, they won’t fix any bugs for you. Due to this, the data related to your store, like customer’s personal details, payment information, etc., can become vulnerable. Worst of all, you are on your own to deal with all this!

Degrading Store Performance: Everything needs maintenance from time to time, and so is your online store. If you are not updating your store, none of your store-related issues will be resolved. Ultimately, it will reduce your website loading speed and its overall performance.

You will get the following benefits from Migrating Magento 1 store to Magento 2 version -
    1. More Stable Architecture
    2. Increased Page loading speed
    3. Multiple 3rd party extension compatibility
    4. User-Friendly Dashboard
    5. Effective SEO & SERP Presence
