Default Easiest/Fastest/Cheapest way to Improve Magento Performance

After talking to a LOT of people at Imagine, I'm still surprised that the number one issue people are trying to figure out with Magento is how to improve performance?

Magento performance is an extremely simple problem to resolve. However, the problem is most people don't have the right tools in the toolbox.

First, if there were simple tweaks you could make to configurations, don't you think they would be in the default installation practices?

Second, if there were code tweaks that resulted in massive performance improvements, isn't it likely that the community would all start there?

    Thirdly, well...you get the idea.

If you aren't finding the answers in all of the places you are looking, you are looking in the wrong places.

LiteSpeed offers a full page cache solution that installs in a day, and improves Magento performance by orders of magnitude. 10X+ The time you waste with hiring consultants to tweak code or settings ...goes away. The money you waste upgrading servers... goes back into your business.

    But, there is a catch...

You have to change something. LiteSpeed works by replacing Apache/nginx/Varnish...why? Because THEY are the things killing your performance. Well, that and Magento PHP code...so we give them a faster PHP engine too...

    Need proof?

    Hi,
Full Page Cache is really one of the best solution for us to speed up Magento site. However, beside this solution, we also reduce loading time for better site performance by deferring JavaScript loading till the last moment after all HTML and CSS loading. By installing Defer JavaScript module, you absolutely make your site run faster and customers do not have to wait so long for loading site.

In addition, to optimize shopping experience most effectively, we also use Lazy Image Loader to allow magento site to load images only when customers scroll down the page. This will help your site load along with the customers' action without loading all images in the page at the same time.

    Tricksy Hobbitses...:-)

I've noticed that Magento 2 uses Ajax call similar to how you describe Mark? They push Product Reviews in the background, so it appears that the site is fast, but in reality, that Ajax call is very expensive and puts load on Magento. If you have a high volume site, I don't think this will work because the Magento infrastructure will always be busy. Front end tricks give the illusion of performance. Effect FPC gives real performance.

For Magento 2, Defer JavaScript extension helps to delay JavaScript loading till the last moment so that the site can perform better and faster. Besides, this Magento Defer JavaScript extension also defers Iframes effectively to contribute to reduce loading time and speed up websites.
