Create Your Custom Theme In Magento 2 (Part-1)
Theme is a component of Magento 2 which gives a consistent look and feel to your whole store. It gives an improved look to areas like Magento 2 Admin and Storefront by utilizing a combination of custom templates, designs, styles or images.
By default, there are 2 Magento themes – Luma and Blank – that you can see after installing Magento 2 successfully. Luma is a demonstration theme and Blank is a basis for custom theme creation.
In Magento 2, there are no restrictions on using the Luma theme for your live store. However, if you want to customize the default design or if you need to create your own theme, Magento strongly recommends to not change or edit the default Luma and Blank theme files. Many people ask why Magento does not allow to change or edit Luma and Blank theme files? The answer is: when you change or edit the default files, your changes can be overwritten by the latest version of the default files during your Magento 2 upgrades.

Magento is still in use because people don't have to pay for it rather than other CMS's like Shopify. But unfortunately Magento market is not big enough to provide all the resources whether it is a theme or a modules section.
But we are getting many clients who wants to redesign and/or develop their website according to their own choice because there are not many free or paid template options available for Magento.

Even though, Magento 2 is in development phase it has already made a lot of buzz in the e-commerce industry because of the new and improved front-end approaches, it is expected to offer. While the front-end improvements seems to make the Magento theme process a lot more efficient, many developers (especially beginners) aren’t still aware of the process of creating a custom theme in Magento 2. Through this Link I’ll be covering step-by-step process of creating a custom Magento 2 theme.
Magento 2 has incredibly strong setup and transforming to new themes but I'm afraid there are not lots of Pre-Build themes by other Magento Developers so that one can buy and install in the root to give a new look in simple steps.
