    HI Lisa.
    Actually I don't think that link building will die in coming future. It is still a great source of getting backlinks to your website. Social bookmarking and blog commenting are the great link building techniques which are relevant and useful till today. Though with the advancement of social media platforms link building has taken a back seat and many SEO professionals do not perform it.

    If you have to use a nofollow attribute, use it as an attribute on specific links but not at a page level. Using nofollow at a page level just hurts you more than anything. It's not a good idea. Using nofollow on all outbound links is just a ridiculous practice built out of fear of linking out.
