    Static Websites

    A static site is a website that is written entirely using HTML. Each web page is a separate document and there are no databases or external files that are drawn upon.

    This means that the only way to edit this type of website is to go into each page and edit the HTML. So you would have to do it yourself using a web page editor such as FrontPage or Dreamweaver, or pay your web developer to make updates for you.

    Dynamic Websites

    A dynamic website is written using more complex code — such as PHP or ASP — and has a greater degree of functionality. For instance, many dynamic websites can be controlled by a content management system. This means that you will potentially be able to make updates without needing any knowledge of HTML or any website software.

    Static websites can only really be updated by someone with a knowledge of website development. Static websites are the cheapest to develop and host, and many smaller companies still use these to get a web presence.
    Dynamic sites on the other hand can be more expensive to develop initially, but the advantages are numerous. At a basic level, a dynamic website can give the website owner the ability to simply update and add new content to the site.

    The static website is the website which is totally designed in HTML and without help of extra developing tools. The things and and contents remains same and can not change anybody without the access of its HTML code and it has not any database or any other storage location for save or retrieve any external files. But Dynamic website design has all the opposite functionality than static website design because it has database to store some information and files by any external user.

    A static website doesn't change. It's usually just a bunch of html, css, and possibly javascript files that are served by a simple webserver.

    A dynamic website has a backend written in a language like PHP, Python, Ruby, Node.js, etc. These sites can take user input and change their content based on databases, external APIs, etc.

    Consider both the purpose of your website and your own expertise and effort you want to put into upkeep. If you only have a few pages to manage that you do not anticipate updating much, using static web pages may be an easy and cost-effective solution for your website. However, if you plan to update frequently, such as for a blog, you may want to consider using a dynamic solution instead.

    The static site is the site which is completely planned in HTML and without help of additional creating instruments. The things and substance stays same and can not transform anyone without the entrance of its HTML code and it has no database or whatever other stockpiling area for recovery or recover any outside documents. Be that as it may, Dynamic site outline has all the inverse usefulness than static site plan since it has database to store some data and documents by any outside client.

    Hi,
    What are static and dynamic websites?
    There are many static websites on the Internet, you may not be able to tell immediately if it is a static or dynamic website, but the chances are, if the site looks basic and is for a smaller company, and simply delivers information without any bells and whistles, it could be a static website. Static websites can only really be updated by someone with a knowledge of website development. Static websites are the cheapest to develop and host, and many smaller companies still use these to get a web presence. Here at EDinteractive web development, we can advise or help to develop both static and dynamic websites.

    Advantages of static websites

    * Quick to develop
    *Cheap to develop
    *Cheap to host
    Disadvantages of static websites
    * Requires web development expertise to update site
    * Site not as useful for the user
    * Content can get stagnant
    Dynamic sites on the other hand can be more expensive to develop initially, but the advantages are numerous. At a basic level, a dynamic website can give the website owner the ability to simply update and add new content to the site. For example, news and events could be posted to the site through a simple browser interface. Dynamic features of a site are only limited by imagination. Some examples of dynamic website features could be: content management system, e-commerce system, bulletin / discussion boards, intranet or extranet facilities, ability for clients or users to upload documents, ability for administrators or users to create content or add information to a site (dynamic publishing).

    Advantages of dynamic websites

    *Much more functional website
    *Much easier to update
    *New content brings people back to the site and helps in the search engines
    *Can work as a system to allow staff or users to collaborate

    Disadvantages of dynamic websites

    *Slower / more expensive to develop
    *Hosting costs a little more

    Summary

    Many sites from the last decade are static, but more and more people are realising the advantages of having a dynamic website. Dynamic websites can make the most of your site and either use it as a tool or create a professional, interesting experience for your visitors.

    Static Web pages display the exact same information whenever anyone visits it.

    Dynamic Web pages are capable of producing different content for different visitors from the same source code file.
