MPV and MPC? Are you sure that it is related to Magento? Or are you mentioning about MVC architecture?

MPD and other midi controllers allows you to control the sounds on the pads from the music program in the computer without sampling it, so you have more sounds to use, but nothing saved, only if you save the sequence in the computer.

MPC is like a drum machine, but its like a drum machine that you can add your own sounds, drums or whatever..loops. You program your beats in this drum machine and can sample vocals, loops, more beat sound etc and once all the sounds are saved inside or on disc you can create without using a computer or anything else.

Simply: the MPC is a stand-alone device for making beats. The MPD is just a controller for your computer, like a keyboard or mouse. A keyboard doesn't have letters inside it; in the same way, the MPD doesn't have sounds inside, it's only used to control software.
