Default Menu links not visible in page source

    Hi,

I am stuck at one point. When i view source of my home page in browser, all the menu bar links are missing from there. Instead it just shows this

    Name: source 1.jpg
Views: 51
Size: 30.8 KB

It is using Javascript to bring the menu links in.

Now will this effect search engine indexing? as the links are not visible on page source so they may not be crawled?

However, i have seen another website built with magento, and that shows complete links in list <li> instead of this block of code on this website. Not sure if there is any setting or what.

Is there a way to change this so that all links appear as a list when we check "view source" in browser?

Magento version i am using is 1.8.1.0 and its installed on IIS.

    Many thanks

This stuffs will not happen with default magento source, I guess you are using third party magento theme what override the default menu, right?

For something like this, we need to look at the theme phtml files. You can check header and menu top template to see. Or try to turn on the templates hints and see where is it. And of course, the best way, you can contact the person who create the theme to get the fast answer, it 's quite easy with them.
