Default Help Pls. Can't get it to work - iframe with remote hosted flash file

    Magento 1.9.0.1
    Theme: Ultimo: 1.9.3

Okay, I’ve wasted about 8 hours trying to figure this out myself and I’m at the end of my rope. I need help.

I don’t think this is such a big deal but I can’t get this to work. I’ve Googled about a million times and tried dozens of posted solution but nothing works. Not sure if it’s me or something in my Magento configuration that is preventing this.

My Google searches never seem to find anyone that has had the exact same problem/solution. If I did find something on the net the posters question never got answered.

All I want to do is display on a Magento CMS page the following remotely hosted Flash script in an iframe.

    <iframe src=http://retailer.gia.edu/downloads/4Cs-flash-sliders/4Cs_Scales_Sliders/eng/carat-tool-nonGIA.swf allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="340" width="675"> </iframe>

I can create simple html page and get it to work, but not within the Magento CMS page.

Tried the code in a CMS static block too, nothing. This would be the best solution for me.

What I get is either a completely blank page or an empty box in a blank page.

What would be really cool is if it was responsive as well…Am I asking for too much?

Yes, my TinyMCE editor has iframe tags enabled

I need some step by step help for this dummy...cheers

This is super weird, their is nothing wrong with code or the method I have used to display the iframe in Magento. I had the people over at aheadworks in Lativa try to solve my problem, to my surprise they could see the iframe contents just fine. They even took a screen print to show me, and yes it was all there.

So then Code is Good, Magento is Good,,,so what is the problem

I'm using Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) on my site and requesting a URL from an non-secure site.

I've narrowed it down to non-HTTPS URLs requested by an HTTPS page...still don't know how to fix yet, there must be a setting I need to change on my local PC.

I can now see the iframe now!, it definitely has to do with my https site calling a url from a http site, called Mixed Content

    I had to fiddle with:

IE: Zone settings Miscellaneous/Access data sources across domains/Enable and a reboot.
Chrome: I had to click on the little security badge in thetop right corner and select Load anyway "This page has insecure content"
Firefox: There is a little security badge in front of the page url, if you click on it and "Disable Protection on this Page" it will allow content.

Still more than half the shoppers visiting my site won't try to figure this out, they will just get blank page.

Need to find some way to force showing this Mixed Content https/http without user having to fiddle,, ya I know it's a security thing....

No one here ever have to deal with this?

    Hello Dennis,

Seems you are stuck with the mixed content, I'm sure you'll want to get this sorted as you don't want your customers to end up in a blank page.

At Marvel Commerce we got some certified back-end devs, drop a mail to [email protected] and we'll be happy to help

    Cheers!
