Post How to increase your magento sites speed ?

If you want the conversion rate of your online ecommerce store to increase then site speed is the most important factor in it. There may be 10 or 20 weekly paying customers for online merchants but still the merchants might be losing 100’s of customers every week during the checkout stage itself. among the main reasons for it is slow loading of pages, and as network speed of mobile and computer get faster, internet shoppers expect the same for your website also.

By default magento is actually a heavy system and it isn’t exactly fast either. However, there are few simple tips that even beginners can use to increase their websites speed and ultimately increase conversion rates.

    Combine CSS and JSS files

One of the biggest reasons your magento powered website is slow is perhaps because it has lots of CSS files and depending on your theme it might slow down your website. You can safely merge javascript and CSS files together by simply going to system>configuration, (left navigation) Advanced>Developer.

And once you are on the developer page, set ‘Merge Javascript’ files and ‘Merge CSS’ files to yes. This would make your magento website faster because the overall structure of your site will be cleaner and much easier to load from one file.

    Compilation

Active scripts in magento’s core structure take time to load. Every time a website visitor accesses any page with a script, magento needs to pull it to them. This can be solved by enabling compilation.

Go to System>Tools>Compilation within the magento administrative dashboard. This would pull all script closer to the front of a web pages loading que.

Please Note: - Compilation must be disabled every time you update any themes, extensions etc, or else they might cause errors.

    Caching

A process of storing certain elements of a web page close to computers, tablets CPU or smart phones is called cache. Thus whenever that web page loads in future it takes less of time to do so because the fundamental building block of that site would be stored locally itself.

With magento it becomes easy for you to enable cache and this is a recommended point for all online merchants whether big or small. Just go to system>Cache management and then select which ever web pages you would like to have this feature. Once you make your selection, set the dropdown box in order to enable and press submit.

Caching can reduce load times for website visitors to a huge extent.

Good tips to consider @balwant. Still there are so many ways to speed up the store but the base thing to do is clearing the cache. This helps me to implement in my product. http://www.hotscripts.com/listing/groupon-clone-111564/

    Thanks for your sharing!
Here are 2 Magento extensions I find very useful in increasing speed of Magento sites
    - Defer JavaScript: speeds up Magento store performance by automatically deferring your JavaScript loading
    - Lazy Image Loader: delays loading of images on your Magento site only when customers scroll down the page

Some of the steps to speedup Magento website are:

    - Signup with a quality host
    - Lower the number of server requests
    - Optimize images
    - Optimize CSS
    - Enable browser caching
    - Enable compression (gzip)
    - Uninstall un-necessary extensions
    - Clean the database

For full-fledged Magento optimization, I would recommend to try FME Magento Optimization Services. https://www.fmeextensions.com/services.html

If you want to optimize your magento performance you might want to first scan your pages with www.gtmetrix.com or Google Page Speed Insights to determine weakest parts:

Here is a few things you might want to look at:

    - optimize time to first byte (TTFB) - here is how
    - optimize/scale images
    - minify/compress JS/CSS/HTML
    - defer parsing of Javascript
    - CSS sprites
    - set image dimensions

upgrade your hosting or choose magento optimized hosting.

For Magento 2 sites, one of the most effective way to speed up sites is to defer parsing of JavaScript. We can also try this extension to make it easily: Defer JavaScript for Magento 2

This extension helps to defer Javascript loading till the last moment after all HTML and CSS loading. Therefore, the sites will reduce loading time and as a result, it can load faster than before.

By using this extension, you do not need to make any code changes in your site that is very complicated

Try Defer JavaScript for Magento 2 and get FREE INSTALLATION and FREE SUPPORT!

    Post about magento

Magento platform has been adopted by more than 180 000 online retailers and ran on 11% of the top 10K sites in the Quantcast data
Magento Community Edition (Magento CE) is the free version of Magento, which is known as a platform built on open-source technology and provides online merchants with unprecedented flexibility and control over the look, content and functionality of their e-commerce store.
At the present time, Magento CE has been being considered to be one of the best free e-commerce platforms. Thus, in this article, I would like to give you an overview about the pros and cons of this platform.

Advantages of the Magento Community Edition

    1. Open Source

Despite of being a free platform, Magento CE is open source. It gives users opportunity to freely modify the code to fit individuals' needs, which brings ultimate flexibility to adopt your business. This is a huge advantage compared to other e-Commerce platforms.

    2. Wide range of functionalities

Magento is famous for the number of functionalities it provides. Most of users consider choosing Magento CE for their e-store because of this reason. Magento covers all of the aspects any store owners may insist on (site design, products, payments, shipping and more), so it is a good base to start with. In addition, the platform is evolving all the time and there are countless Magento templates, themes as well as Magento extensions, plugins, and widgets available on the market.

It's interesting how the script allows for running several stores at one time from one administration panel. Another example of Magneto's extraordinary capabilities is the ability to set a template for a given product that will make this product to present to a client differently than other products at the same time period.

    3. Community

Magento has a growing community of passionate and dedicated developers, users, and providers. So what do you benefit from this? Please note that Magento CE is a free edition, so the support from Magento's technical team is quite limited. Users help each other by sharing knowledge and experience on forums, blogs all over the world. Let's image that the answers for common problems are easily accessible and help is on hand no matter how bespoke your requirements are.

Disadvantages of the Magento Community Edition

    1. The usage of PHP

A big drawback of Magento is the usage of PHP. The Magento application can consume gigabytes of RAM during heavy processes, and PHP often simply cannot handle the load, regardless of how much hardware is thrown at it.

    2. Not for amateurs

This platform is quite complex so it is not the solution for a beginner with no technical skills. Even an experienced developer will need quite time to learn Magento step by step before being certified. Magento is designed as an enterprise Java application, but its codebase is written in PHP. Thus, if you are not familiar with Java or PHP Zend Framework, it takes months to learn and use this platform. To be honest, finding a qualified Magento developer is not an easy task

Hoping you may like the Information.
