Customizing a product's page - will LightSpeed POS overwrite on update?

We are using LightSpeed POS at our physical store, which sync's orders and uploads products to our Magento webstore. Unfortunately, LightSpeed doesn't give you very many options as far as custom appearance options for each product, so if we wanted to add a product review video, or a custom look, you cannot do this through the actual product panel in LightSpeed. If we decided to custom code a page, with different appearance options, product review videos, etc. - would this mess up LightSpeed's ability to sync, or would it just overwrite on the next update we initiate?

Any help would greatly be appreciated!
