Google DEC 3 Broad Core Update

I know this forum is mostly business owners of which I assume most have websites - I don't know how many people are aware of Google's 3rd of Dec broad core update which saw websites with some crazy drops in traffic and some with an increase ranging between 10 - 100%. We have been lucky with this update not lucky to get 100% increase but it seems we have stayed the same most of our clients took an initial hit and then recovered with some added traffic. Some sites stayed the same.

Its curious that the websites that didn't increase in our case are the ones we seemed to have done a little bit more SEO on.

Im wondering if anybody else knows about this or has seen any patterns.

We had face a huge ranking drop after the algorithm update!!

Most of ours recovered the websites all dipped in traffic for about two weeks and then slowly came back, however, some are not as high in ranking and website traffic as they were. Im reading around and a lot of webmasters have had permanent ranking drops which are really terrible since google says you can only recover your rankings after the next update which is about every 3- 4 months. They are making the organic search very volatile and I think that google is doing this to force small businesses into using paid advertising, I've also noticed that directory websites have had massive ranking increases

We have also faced the ranking drop in our website due to update!!
